In 2007, the department name was changed to the current name of \u201cMolecular Signaling and Biochemistry\u201d. In 2019, we invited Dr. Addison from McGill University in Canada to contribute to the formation of a new system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our student education program, lectures and practical training on biochemistry and molecular biology are provided.<br>This program describes the molecular mechanisms by which cells, the smallest units of life, perform various functions in living organisms. The program features lectures and practical training in English by a native English teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our research activities, we have adopted the Principal Investigator (PI) system to this department. In other words, the three faculty members in this department conduct their own independent research as PIs. Collectively, the PIs aim to elucidate molecular mechanisms in bone and skeletal muscle metabolism and apply this knowledge to regenerative medicine based on the demands of the aging society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To facilitate synergy, teamwork and collaborative research, we hold weekly journal clubs and monthly data discussion meetings jointly.<br>\nIn addition, we are actively engaged in industry-academia and international collaboration.
