【Purpose】To evaluate the extent of lesions in the anterior mandible and floor of the mouth, determine the position of impacted or supernumerary teeth, detect salivary calculi, and assess fracture lines.

【Projection angle】The central ray is directed perpendicular to the bisector of the angle formed by the film and the long axis of the mandibular anterior teeth, entering through the chin at approximately −50° to −60°.
